Lucy Blue is Junior Game Developer, UNC Center for Innovation in Pharmacy Simulation (CIPS) at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She works as a team member for CIPS in the development of technology tools to enhance all phases of education and pharmaceutical research including educational games, and virtual/augmented realities. Specifically, Lucy Blue is working on the UNC Virtual Patient project (nXhuman-Mk 1) which is a transformative effort at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy to create a cutting-edge technology platform that will accelerate student learning and improve real-world patient care through the application of pharmacologic and therapeutic knowledge. This software platform is currently in development and early usability testing. It will be transferable to other health-science disciplines and patients. Lucy Blue is an experienced Software Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. She is skilled in Unity, Ink, Python, HTML, C#, Java, JavaScript, XCode, and Software Development. She plans to study Computer Science with an emphasis on Cyber Security when she attends college. She is currently working to create an app that will help Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) users track flare-ups, record foods that help or hurt, chronicle pain levels, log activities, and exercise and generate monthly reports that can be shared with their gastroenterologists.
