Alannah is a Junior in high school, but she takes classes through her local community college, working towards an Associates in Engineering. She has experience in the medical, engineering, programming, and machining fields. She is one of the youngest women to become NIMS certified in Layout.. Along with that, she holds a leadership position, Captain, in her FIRST robotics competition team. On top of the role of Captain, she helps lead and teach the programming sub-team on her FRC team. Previous to this, she was also the chairman's lead and First Mate for her FRC team, as well as a founding member of a FIRST Tech Challenge team. Outside of participation in FRC, she mentors three FIRST LEGO league teams and is a head referee. Outside of FIRST, she is an active participant in the local SWENext chapter and holds the title of outreach lead, where she aims to bring more girls into STEM. She has held STEM events, like a tool training event, and two Github's Hacktoberfest, and is working on hosting a STEM and history camp. She played a part in planning an all girls FRC Competition, Doyenne Inspiration. Outside of school and FIRST participation, she works as a math tutor at the community college where she takes classes. . She has a passion for programming and STEM, and wants to continue working in the field in the future. She plans to attend college for petroleum engineering and work in renewable petroleum manufacturing.
