Ashley is a sophomore at Casteel High School for the 2019-2020 school year taking courses to pursue either a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering career with hopes of studying at Barretts Honors College at Arizona State University. She is enrolled as an AP Capstone student and as a dual enrollment student with Chandler-Gilbert Community College taking Principles of Engineering and AP Biology. She is a National Honors Society Member and will compete in Track in the Spring. In 2018-2019, Ashley was a Honorable Mention NCWIT Aspirations in Computing award recipient and was an Arizona Science and Engineering Fair (AzSEF) qualifier, 2nd place winner at the Chandler Innovation Fair (CIF), and 1st place winner at Casteel High School's Science Fair for her project entitled, "The Math and Marketing Behind Mother Nature: Correlating the Fibonacci Sequence with Monocotyledon and Dicotyledon Flower Sales". In 2017-2018, Ashley was a Broadcom MASTERS qualifier and 1st place winner at Arizona Science and Engineering Fair (AzSEF), Hamilton Invitational Science and Engineering Fair (HISEF), and Casteel High School Science and Engineering Fair with her project entitled, "The Math and Marketing Behind Mother Nature: Correlation of the Fibonacci Sequence, Lucas Series, and Golden Ratio in Flowers”. Ashley’s interests include engineering, computer application, digital media, photography, drawing, robotics, reading, music, community service, and cross-country.
