The two areas with in CS that has caught on her interest most are Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence, and is the domain she would like to pursue as a specialization in her studies as well as in her future career. Her inclination towards Cyber Security in particular was sparked after as a WIT president, she led a student team to Northrup Grumman and CISCO during last year for introductory sessions, competitions and field trip. She was intrigued by the possibility that it provides both in terms of technical challenges as well as opportunity to serve the country by applying it to National security. In order to understand more closely on how Cyber Security is being pursued at a corporate level, she worked as an intern at a local Cyber Security company, VariQ during summers and gained a lot from that experience. Based on her academic interest and career goal, she enrolled in many relevant courses during her senior year like NSF funded guided research in the area of Cyber security leading to possibility of professional certification in CISCO Security+, Network Engineering management learning protocols and networking leading to professional certification in CompTIA +, Security+. This year, she was also selected as captain to lead school team to the prestigious CyberPatriot challenge and other competitions.
