Caitlynn is a senior at St. Francis High School in Sacramento, CA who plans to go into biomedical engineering. She's been interested in the STEM fields since she was a little girl watching her father code on his laptop at home. In middle school, she learned Python, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript and joined her school's robotics team, which was introduced during her eighth grade year. She is currently a Project Lead and Co-Pit Lead on her school's FRC team and the president of the Cyberpatriots club. Along with building a robot for competition, her robotics team is working on a project with Jesuit's robotics team call Robots for Good. This project involves building a humanoid that allows children in hospitals to experience basketball games from their rooms using a VR headset. Although the club was just created her junior year, in Cyberpatriots, her team placed gold tier on the state level and doubled their number of competitors this year. She has taken AP Computer Science Principles and is currently taking AP Computer Science A, a class that has been reintroduced this year.
