Josephine is a senior at Catholic Memorial High School and has enjoyed taking engineering and computer science courses at her school through Project Lead the Way. Her favorite subject in school is math and she loves to read and solve problems. One of Josephine's greatest accomplishments was designing and developing a mug that resists hand tremors due to Parkinson's Disease in her engineering class last year. While Josephine excels working independently, she loves collaborating with others and working in a team. She is very motivated and a strong leader due to her involvement in extracurricular activities - whether that be playing doubles on the varsity tennis team or serving as president of the National Honor Society. Josephine looks forward to attending college next year and hopes to pursue a degree in a STEM-related field. While she is not quite sure what she would like to study, she is interested in engineering, computer science, and business, particularly actuarial sciences as she loves math and is very detail-oriented. Josephine is excited to see where the future will lead her and to discover the many opportunities that are available for women in the STEM careers!
