Xiomara is a hard-working advanced technology and biomedical student, who has high aspirations for her future. Xiomara was a co-president for an all-girls technology club called Girls Opting for Information Technology (GO4IT), mentored various young ladies to pursue technology-related activities. Xiomara has earned nine industry certifications in Microsoft Office. She is most proud of becoming a Microsoft Office Master. Xiomara has also taken a CompTIA A+ course, a CompTIA Network+ course, a CompTIA Security+ course in which she learned how computers work, how they communicate, and how to protect them from dangers of the world. She has earned Microsoft Technology Associate: Networking Fundamentals and Microsoft Technology Associate: Security Fundamentals credential in those classes. Xiomara is currently enrolled in an advanced technology academy where she is learning about servers, in the CompTIA Server+ curriculum. Outside of technology, Xiomara is part of the biomedical program at her high school. As a member of the biomedical program, she joined Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA). In HOSA, she is learned how to utilize medical measurements to investigate health issues with individuals. In her sophomore year, Xiomara helped to found a chapter of Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE Jr.) at her high school and became the treasurer for the club. SHPE Jr. connects with a local university chapter to help all students to get into STEM programs so they can reach their fullest potential. When she is not busy with academic activities, she is volunteering at a daycare behind her highschool. Xiomara encourages the toddlers to read at a young age, helps them learn new words, and get to engage with the real world.
