Alexis is an 18 year old senior at Berea-Midpark High School. She has been programming since she was 14 when she joined her high school's FIRST Robotics Competition team, but she has harbored an interest in science and technology since she was a young girl. She will be attending Cleveland State University in the fall, majoring in Computer Science and double minoring in Electrical Engineering and Environmental Engineering. She plans on pursuing a career as either a malware analyst or a security engineer. Currently, Alexis is the captain of the Berea-Midpark FIRST Robotics team, as well as being the captain of of the programming department specifically, and public relations manager. She is also the Ohio District of Key Club International's Webmaster and the co-chair of their public relations department. Alexis has also participated in numerous hackathons and programming competitions and have achieved second or third place consistently in them. Alexis has also attend many camps, clubs, and classes related to engineering and computer science. She has participated in the University of Akron's Women in Engineering summer camp, various Tech Corps summer camps, and has been heavily involved in Hyland Software's Hy-Tech Club classes and summer camps since 2015. Her biggest accomplishments to date are being appointed Ohio District of Key Club International Webmaster, being appointed numerous captain positions on her school's FIRST robotics team, and lobbying to her school board to add the AP Computer Science Principles curriculum to the High School's course catalog. This class will be be introduced during the 2018-2019 school year.
