Lauren is a senior at Parker High School in Janesville, WI and she has focused her studies on computers. She has taken AP Computer Science courses, A, AB-JAVA and Pricincples, and used these skills to excel at the AP Computer Science exam. She participates in FIRST Robotics and Computing Club, in which she has learned to code in Karel, Visual Basic, and Java. Along with being a part of FIRST Robotics club, she volunteers with a FIRST Lego League and teaches programming and building of robots to elementary and middle school students. She is very excited to assist in hosting the regional, sectional, and state competitions in Wisconsin for FIRST Lego League. Lauren is employed with the School District of Janesville as an IT Intern. In this position, she works with teachers and students to improve their technological knowledge. Outside of school, Lauren in heavily involved with 4-H at the club and county level. She is president of her club, River Valley 4-H, and Treasurer of the county Junior 4-H Council. Lauren has enthusiastically taken on leadership roles mentoring younger 4-H members with teamwork, public speaking, and leadership. Upon high school graduation, she plans to continue her education in Finance and Cyber Security.
