Cameron is a senior at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She has always had a passion for math and science, but began to pursue this love seriously beginning her sophomore year. Some of her current academic courses include AP Physics 1, Design and Fabrication, and Introduction to Engineering. Cameron is the current president of The Benjineers, her school's engineering club, and the first female president the club has had. She enjoys collaborating with other club members on their various projects, including autonomous robots and 1:10 scale race cars. Cameron planned The Benjamin School’s first ever engineering competition and a STEM Palooza to showcase her club’s innovations to the community. She interned at The Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience this past summer where she completed computer programming work for a project focused on discovering the memory process and how it is affected by neurological diseases. Cameron utilizes her creative skills to design costumes for the theater department at her school and is also passionate about making no sew blankets for kids at her local children’s hospital. She is a recipient of the Gold Congressional Medal. Cameron is hoping to study biomedical and computer engineering in college.
