Nivedhitha is a junior at Montgomery High School. She is the vice president of the Montgomery Computer Science Club and a programming captain on the FIRST robotics team at her school (team 1403: Cougar Robotics). As vice president of the Computer Science Club, Niva was part of the leadership team that founded the first ever hackathon at her school in April 2017. MontyHacks was a success, and will be held again in April 2018. Additionally, Niva is passionate about teaching her computer science knowledge to others, and ran a web design workshop called "Tech for Girls" during spring break 2017 for middle-school girls at her local library. Niva is also the founder and president of the Monty Math Club (MMC), an organization for teaching middle schoolers the joys of recreational mathematics. MMC has been running for three years now, along with a regular math contests written and held by Niva as well. MMC has had participants from all over New Jersey. After spending this summer as a paid intern at SRI International, Niva is more excited than ever to pursue computer science and the field of robotics in college. This year, she is also taking COS 126 at Princeton University after having completed all the computer science courses at her school.
