Vinathi is currently a sophomore at Hightstown High School in Hightstown, New Jersey. She received a scholarship to Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference in 2017. The conference was an eye-opener for her, as she realized that she was one of the youngest students attending. This inspired and motivated her to start a coding club in her middle school, where she taught students iOS app development with Apple's Playgrounds application. Getting to see the excitement on the student's faces when they coded a character to complete a set of actions was a memorable experience for her and she can't wait to help her community more in the future. Additionally, she has developed several Amazon Alexa applications in her free time. For the last two years, she has presented at the Young Women's Conference at Princeton University to promote STEM for young women by interesting them in math tricks. She played in the starting lineup for tennis throughout middle school and also played on the varsity team for girl's tennis at her high school. Vinathi is also proud of being a member of several clubs at her school, including FIRST Robotics, STEM Club, and Math League, as well as being the president of Coding for Girls. She plans on majoring in computer science in college.
