Teja is a senior at Brookfield Central that will be attending Rice University in the fall. She took a couple of math and computer science courses at Marquette University this past fall and that peaked in her interest in the technological field. Until then, Teja was very passionate about the medical field. Now, she would like to study the application of engineering and computer science in medicine to make medical diagnoses and treatments more accessible to those in third world countries. She still, however, intends to go on to medical school in the future. Right now, Teja's main computer science endeavor is mentoring a group of middle school girls making an allergy-diagnosing application for Project CS Girls.
