Alejandra Ramos is currently a senior at Loretto High School in El Paso, Texas. She will be attending Case Western Reserve University in the fall. Alejandra is aspiring to become a computer engineer and to spread engineering and computing in her community. Alejandra participates in not only STEM clubs, but also many leadership community organizations such as NHI. She often tutors and represents her school in basketball, cross country, as well as track and field. Alejandra is a member of the National Honor Society at Loretto Academy and on her weekends she volunteers at her local parish, Queen of Peace. As well as closely participating in many summer programs, she is a member of YWIC at NMSU where she had learned to expand her knowledge of computing. After receiving first place in the CS Adventures competition in 2016, Alejandra turned to pursuing to spread knowledge about the field of computer science at Loretto Academy. There she created Angles in Tech, a club for girls aspiring to major in computer science. Alejandra was also accepted as a #includefellow 2018 as a part of the Stanford she++ organization to empower underrepresented groups in technology. Finally she and a colleague went on to found Tech Guru Innoventure. It is an organization that seeks to introduce computing to youth as well as show how coding can be used in a business setting.
