SWENext Club Challenge

This competition promotes teamwork, innovation, and ingenuity in our younger members. The theme of WE18 is "Let's Break Boundaries". With this in mind, SWE is challenging SWENext clubs to celebrate women engineers who have broken boundaries and break a few of their own. Applicants must be in grades K-12 in October 2018.

CGTrader is the largest 3D model marketplace backed by the strong designer community of more than 1.2M members. CGTrader was founded with the goal to ensure fair marketplace conditions for 3D designers.

Every year CGTrader challenges students to dig into the field of technology by writing an essay on how innovative technologies are transforming our lives.

Enter the CGTrader Scholarship 2018 challenge to win $3,000 for your education expenses. The best submission will be awarded $2,000 while the two runners-up will receive $500 each.

On the first day, participants will learn to make a coil or slab ceramic artwork to use as a model for 3D printing later in the camp. On the second day, students learn how to take high quality photos of their artwork for use as 3D models. They will combine multiple photos of their work to create a 3D model using 3D modeling software. They will also learn how to create a 3D scan of the work using 3D scanning software and a smartphone, and discuss the best approach and software to use based on the shape of their original art.

This year, DTC Introduction to Programming is providing a programming outreach to students in the Cherry Creek Schools District and in the Denver Tech Center. This Colorado Computer Science Camp is dedicated to challenging students going into 7th, 8th, and 9th grade in the 2018-2019 school year to pursue computer science at a younger age. We offer our ALPHA and/or UNIQ summer camp for $50.00 per session!
