The Information Technology Research Institute (ITRI) at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville Arkansas is proud to host the Arkansas Award for Aspirations in Computing. Award recipients will be selected for their aptitude and interest in IT and computing, solid leadership ability, good academic history, and plans for post-secondary education.

Aspirations in Computing is a talent development initiative designed to increase female participation in technology careers by proving encouragement, visibility, community, leadership opportunities, scholarships, and internships to aspiring technically inclined young women.

The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing offers both a national and local affiliate competition to generate support and visibility for women's participation in communities nationwide. For more information about the national program please visit

The 9th annual Aspirations in Computing Award Ceremony will be held Monday, April 15th, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Willard J. Walker Hall on the campus of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
