Student Strand Global Education Conference 2014 Proposals Due
The Global Education Conference (November 17-22, 2014) is a collaborative, inclusive, world-wide community and online conference involving STUDENTS, educators, and organizations at all levels. It is designed to significantly increase opportunities for connecting classrooms while supporting cultural awareness and recognition of diversity and educational access for all.
Both pedagogy and technology play significant supporting roles in this event, but this is neither an ICT conference nor a general education conference. Individual tools and content–area subjects should be addressed within the context of 21st century skills–based projects and initiatives that present global opportunities for connecting, collaborating, and taking action. Our audience is primarily K-20 educators, STUDENTS, organizations, and other stakeholders interested in global education.
You have until November 1 to submit your Student Strand proposal! Please do the following:
- Propose a session - Follow the information on 'How to submit a proposal'
- Email Julie Lindsay - firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know what you have proposed (send the proposal link)
- Prepare for your session - Julie will be in touch to support where needed here!
- Come to the online Information Session - Julie and Lucy will be online in this Blackboard Collaborate room to share ideas, resources and strategies for supporting student presentations. Date: Thursday October 16, 4pm EST (Friday October 17, 7am AEST). See YOUR date and time.
