AL Digital Skills Interest Form

Over the next several months, NCWIT will announce technical training opportunities for women in Alabama. The training opportunities will be paid for by way of the Digital Skills grant at no cost to the participant. The training courses are based on data from the Regional Tech Industry leaders, which identified key skills needed for technical employment in the area, and the Aspirations in Computing (AiC) Needs Assessment Survey, which provided input on the types of courses that would be useful for women in the computing field. Courses may include Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, UX/ UI, and Project Management; more are anticipated for the future.

These courses are open to:

  1. AiC Community members currently living in the Alabama area, or hoping to return to the Alabama area to seek employment, with a desire to increase computing skills and/or further a technology-related career.

  2. Women who are in Alabama who are re-entering the workforce with interest in a computing/ technology career, considering changing careers with a new career in computing/ technology, or already hold a technical role but wish to advance their career with additional digital skills.

If you meet these eligibilities and are interested in learning more about these opportunities, please complete the interest form below.

Questions about the technical training opportunities or the full Alabama Digital Skills Initiatives should be sent directly to the Regional Initiative Director Stephanie Weber at stephanie.weber@ncwit.org.
